Accident fatal en Nouvelle Zélande

Unfortunately writting to inform of a fatality at Treble cone today. Sean Kerridge crashed approximately 300m below the TC pub corner launch. The conditions at the time were strongly thermic with increasing NW wind.

Local PG pilots were quickly on the scene with and administered CPR for about 45 minutes before a doctor arrived and pronounced him dead on scene.

It appears that Sean was flying close to the terrain at the time. he was flying a spitfire 11.

Sean was always fun to hang out with and had been truely grabbed by the sport of speedflying. He was a very experienced skydiver and basejumper and had recently completed PG training. He had been flying SF wings for about 2 year - starting on an xt 16.

There will be an accident investigation
